FURULUND SCHOOL
Furulundskolan is a primary school for children aged 6–12, with small, friendly classes and a supportive learning environment.
The school employs trained teachers who have close contact with the students and all children receive the help they need to develop towards the goals of primary school. Small classes often contribute to a better learning environment where students can receive more personal attention.
The school is the first in the municipality to have a social service dog two days a week, who works with the classes and also with the students on an individual basis.
The students have access to large, nice and spacious premises to stay in. The school grounds also include a library, swimming pool and gymnasium to which the students have almost unlimited access.
The school area has a large schoolyard with space for all kinds of play, the small forest behind the school with its own barbecue hut for outdoor snacks.
There is proximity to both a hockey rink and ski trails, which are used during the winter months.
After school, there are opportunities for extracurricular activities if needed. The extracurricular activities are located within the school grounds, which provides a safe and comfortable transition between the school day and free time.
FURAN
Furan is the preschool in the village and has room for many children.
There is currently no queue for space.
Here, educational activities are conducted with the child at the center.
Important cornerstones of the educational work are that the children should spend time outdoors every day, strengthen their motor development and feel safe at preschool.
Preschool and school are important for Lillhärdal!
In September 2023, the municipality of Härjedalen presented a proposal to close down the current school operations in Lillhärdal. Children and students would instead have their education in Sveg. When the proposal became known, a group of committed people in Lillhärdal gathered to work to ensure that there would be a school operation remaining in Lillhärdal.
Either in the current municipal form, or as a locally owned independent school. The preschool and school are important for Lillhärdal - both for the opportunity for families with children to live and work here, and for the future of the entire village.
