MEMORIAL STONE OF THE WITCH TRIALS
In Lillhärdal, the Swedish witch trials started in the 17th century, where six women lost their lives.
Stor-Märit from Lillhärdal, was the first woman to be burned at the stake in Sweden. You can visit a memorial stone erected to commemorate these trials on Spångmyrsholmen just outside the village. If you continue the path behind the memorial stone, you will find a staged execution site.

HÖGEN - HEMBYGDGÅRD
Högen is one of Sweden's few completely preserved four-building farms of the North Swedish type. The buildings were built during the period from the 17th century to the early 20th century. In order to protect the valuable buildings, Högen has been declared a listed building. If you are interested in visiting Högen, that's fine, as the entrance to Högen is always open.

HAMRE SKANS
A lesser-known defensive structure against the Danes. Hamre Skans was probably built in 1788, but could also be as old as 1742-1745. According to legend, sheriff Kjell Herdell helped the farmers in Lillhärdal avoid going to war against the Danes by writing to the authorities and convincing them of the danger of a Danish attack along the Härjeån River! The result was this fortification, which of course was never used in battle. The last time the fort was manned was at the dissolution of the union in 1905.

THE GARBO STATUE
Somewhere in the forest west of Lillhärdal, in a place called Stockholm, you have the opportunity to see a statue of Greta Garbo. The statue was created by the artist Jón Leifsson on behalf of the Fotografiska museet in Stockholm. The artist has chosen to place the statue, which bears the name “Statue of integrity”, so remote in the forest as Greta Garbo was a reclusive person with great integrity.

ST. URIEL
In the middle of the forests outside Lövnäsvallen you will find the chapel of Sankt Uriel, a meditation facility beautifully located at Lill-Härjån. The chapel is Sweden's smallest cathedral and is located 7 km north of Lövnäsvallen. There is a trail with color markings to help you find this magical place. The facility is unlocked and is available for those who want to meditate in a fantastic natural environment, or just relax with a good cup of coffee.

LILLHÄRJEÅBYGGET
Lillhärjåbygget is a living farm and cultural reserve, in the middle of the mountains. The farm is run by the Eriksson family and has been owned by the family since the 19th century.
A living mountain farm with a mountain hut operation, where people live all year round.
It is possible to get a guided tour, and there are nice hiking trails here.
From Lövnäsvallen it is 17 km, if you take the forest road to Storhäråvallen the hike is about 7 km.
